An hour north of Sacramento, Granzellas is a welcome spot along boring I5. I usually hit this place at breakfast. The chicken fried steak and eggs is yummy and they give a huge portion. The pancakes banana foster is another favorite.

There's a front dining area, a deli, and a huge back bar area. Can't miss out!

This place has been a family fave for YEARS on long-hauls up north to my grandparents' house; they've long since passed away but this year we stopped on the way home from camp on Labor Day Weekend.

No matter when you go, be prepared to hunt around the parking lots for a spot, cuz this place is hopping with clientele! And for a good reason. The restaurant usually isn't too crowded, you can get a seat in fifteen minutes; a lot of folks stop to shop the deli to shop their cheese, meat, and spices/sauce selections. They've also added across the street another gift shop that sells cute home decor knick-knacks we occasionally pick up something new to cook with, but the primary reason we stop is for the restaurant. The menu is expansive and I swear everything on it is delicious. Also on the expensive side... even the lunch options will all cost you over $12. On the other hand, the portions are sizeable enough that I get at least two meals out of anything I order! Thank goodness for leftovers. =) The restaurant also has a nice theme; lots of stuff to look at on the walls. Staff are pleasant and attentive.

I've never stayed at the hotel, though considering how good the rest is, I reckon it's good too, if you're considering staying.

Stopped in for the 1st time. Very nice atmosphere, great service and tasty food! Ordered the One Egg Breakfast which was plenty and Eggs Benedict (best around).

They have a lot of goods from Italy as well as a fresh deli, too!

    We'll definitely be back here

    OUTSTANDING

When you're traveling north on Highway five towards Reading you have got to stop by this deli restaurant bar and gift shop.

The food at the restaurant is really really good.

We were hungry and racing north and decided to grab a quick bite and I'm sure glad we did I was recommended to get the Ruben at $12.50 a beautiful side salad for $450 and had more food than I could eat and enjoyed every bite.
We also got the eggs Benedict with a side of toast and have to say it was one of the best eggs Benedict we've had in months the ham was thick and the crispy bacon on the side $450 was also thick and deli should.

The facility deli ice cream and miscellaneous items was a treat to just wander around and explore.

We've eaten here both times while staying at the Inn.  Well prepared food! Fast and friendly service.  We had it brought to our room the first time, but it wasn't an option this time,  I walked over and picked it up took it back to the room and everything was done very nice.  Onion rings were crispy and hot.  Fish was hot and decent sized and our bay shrimp salad was perfect!  We haven't dined in because we have our two dogs with us, so we eat in our room.  The restaurant looks nice and the servers were very helpful and quick when I picked up our food.  All and all Granzella's is ran well by people who care and they have people that care working for them as well!  It shows all over!
